“2004-2005 marked our first year as a public elementary charter school. We accepted students possessing a wide range of academic ability from all over our district. Key Skills was the ONLY network program we used for all students, grades K-3. We were pleased when told that our school, a new school, made the federal standard – Adequate Yearly Progress. "The 3rd grade teachers brought students to the computer lab 2 - 3 times per week (20 minutes each time) to practice the multiplication and division facts from the Key Skills software.
Teachers used the data for each individual student to monitor/adjust the instruction in the classroom. Teachers reported that student use of Key Skills software was the major change that they made in their instructional strategies this school year. Standardized test scores in Total Math increased by an average of 12 percentile points over the previous school year!"
